Dear citizens,

The government of the Republic of Macedonia and the Ministry of information society within the frames of the project “Macedonia – land of IT specialists” has decided to implement a program for granting valuable vouchers as a direct subvention when buying computers.

After the last year’s great success which was achieved with this program and the students needs for computers in the Republic of Macedonia, the Government of the Republic of Macedonia and the Ministry of Information society have decided to implement again this year the same program. The only difference is that last year the vouchers amounted 12.300 denars, but  this year the vouchers will be amounted on 15. 500 denars nominal value. The target groups for which they are assigned are full-time students enrolled for a first time in the last year of their studies in 2008/2009 in every state or accredited private university in our country as well as students which are evidenced as persons with special needs.

Full time students who are enrolled for the first time in their last year of studies in the academic year 2008/2009 in the high educational institutions in the Republic of Macedonia are the full time students citizens of the Republic of Macedonia enrolled in high educational institutions until 15 November 2008. The students who are evidenced as persons with special needs are all newly enrolled students in the academic year 2008/2009 and all of the students who do not accomplish the right on voucher according to the Law on issuing valuable vouchers. The aim of the program is to increase the PC penetration in the homes, initially among the younger IT- active generation, i.e. in this way the students expand the IT skills within the family, friends and later on in the working environment. The campaign will be implemented in cooperation with all of the high-educational institutions (state and accredited private institutions) in the Republic of Macedonia, as well as all of the IT firms in the country which will show interest in the participation of the program.
